Trigger point therapy The trigger point therapy is a massage technique in which pressure is applied on a trigger point. The technique is used to relieve muscle pain, reduce muscle tension and improve muscle healing.

A trigger point is a tight area within the muscle tissue that causes pain in an other part of the body. The trigger point is a highly-irritable neuromuscular point, which accumulates waste product around nerve receptor. Trigger points may from in muscles which are overused, injured, unbalanced or post surgery.
The trigger point is painful when pressed on, causes a shortening of the muscle fibers, and has a special property called referred pain. Referred pain means that a trigger point in one muscle can create pain in another area. A trigger point in the back for example can create referral pain in the neck. The main goal of the trigger point therapy is to alleviate the real soure of the pain.
What is trigger pointing?
Trigger pointing helps removing waste products by stimulating blood circulation. Trigger pointing blocks the blood flow to a certain area, so that upon release waste products can be easily removed. Trigger pointing flushes away toxins and supplies the necessary oxigen to the affected tissues.
What is trigger pointing used for?
- overused muscles ( habitually poor posture due to our sedentary lifestyles)
- injured muscles (sport)
- post-surgery
- inactivity (trigger points can even develop due to inactivity such as prolonged bed rest or sitting)

Testimonials
I met Nora more than two years ago, when I first went to Budapestfizio because of a lumbar herniated disc problem. At that time I already had been suffering from a radiating pain for weeks, I could hardly walk, and I was thinking about surgery. After the very first treatment with Nora the terrible pain already eased a bit so we decided to solve the problem in conservative way. Nora started with some muscle relaxing manual therapy and then gradually thaught me some exercises that helped to stabilise my spine and improved my posture. Even though I completely recovered I still make those exercises every day because I realised it is much better to prevent those problems.
